1. Food Safety & Agricultural Purity Standards

At Casa Zafferano, we import, cellar, and pack only the highest commercial grade of single-origin saffron. Saffron is classified as an agricultural consumable food product under United States federal and state sanitation laws. To preserve the molecular integrity and sanitary purity of our threads, and to protect our culinary community from cross-contamination, we enforce a strict non-refundable standard.

Once the outer safety film or the custom paper security seal on our airtight glass jar has been compromised, broken, or altered, the item cannot be returned, restocked, or refunded under any circumstances.

2. Damaged & Transit Incidents

Our A+ Super Negin saffron threads are packed inside premium glass jars with airtight aluminum lids to seal out humidity and lock in freshness. In the rare event that your package is mistreated by the courier, resulting in fractured glass, torn packaging, or structural damage, we will expedite a replacement or issue a full transaction refund.

To file a transit damage claim, please notify our support cellar at thecasazafferano@gmail.com within 14 calendar days of delivery. You must include your order confirmation number, tracking ID, and clear, high-resolution photographs showing the damaged shipping parcel and the compromised glass container.

3. Unopened Returns

If you wish to return a purchase for personal reasons, we accept returns of completely unopened, unused jars in pristine physical condition, with all wax coatings, safety shrink-wrap, and custom paper seals fully intact, within 30 calendar days of purchase.

The customer is responsible for coordinating the return shipment, selecting a tracked shipping carrier, and covering all return postage fees. We highly recommend using a tracked, insured carrier service, as Casa Zafferano cannot assume liability for returns lost, stolen, or damaged during transit back to our facility.

4. Refund Processing & Settlement

Upon arrival at our Seattle packaging cellar, returns undergo strict inspection. Approved returns will be cleared, and a refund will be issued to your original purchasing card or digital wallet via the secure Stripe gateway. Settlement timelines typically span 5 to 10 standard business days, depending entirely on your card issuer or banking institution. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
